Estate Planning and Administration
Proper estate planning can substantially reduce the administrative delays and expenses which are always a part of the process of passing wealth from one generation to the next. Where the Estates are large, proper planning can lawfully protect a sizeable percentage of an inheritance from death taxes. There are also numerous lesser known aspects of proper estate planning such as designation of beneficiaries on profit sharing plans, preserving the tax preferred treatment in IRA and 401 K plans, guardianships, Medicaid eligibility issues and planning, and trusts – all of which involve different areas of the law and require special attention to detail.
