 Creditors Rights/Bankruptcy

A principle of the American economic system is the concept of a "fresh start" through the ability to file for bankruptcy.  This is so fundamental that it is specifically mentioned in the Constitution of the United States as a matter for the United States Congress to attend to.  Abuses of the bankruptcy system have recently lead to numerous tightening of the rules.  Thus, knowledge of the ins and outs is critical for both the creditor seeking to collect against a bankrupt customer, and the individual forced, through unfortunate circumstances, to seek the protection of the bankruptcy laws.
